As I reflect on the year, it brings me to this post in honour of a very special anniversary.

This was a fun day. I remember playing games, and a whole lot of laughing. When I see these images I am right there once again ~ I can feel it, I can hear it, I remember. Life with young kids includes a whirlwind of rambunctious energy, and life is so fun when you embrace that and let it fly!

I love that photography opens up a little window into the lives of the families I meet. I am with people for a relatively short amount of time, but I just love the opportunity to be invited in to that special circle ~ even for a moment. I also love that photography holds onto a memory, and that we create the memory together. It is the memory that we cherish, and the photo holds that for us. We often don't realize the importance of these moments.

Today I am reminded, just as I was when I received an email from Rochelle around a year ago.

Today's post is in honour and memory of Owen. I only knew you for an hour, but I will never forget you and your joyful spirit.

Take photos of those you love. Take photos with those you love. It doesn't really matter how you do it, but just do it.

I'd like to give a special thank you to Rochelle and Darcy for allowing me to share this post. I am forever grateful that we created these memories together and I am sending much love to you and your family.
